Sonia says:
We all have the ability to Heal both ourselves and others. We just don't acknowledge it, as I found out when my daughter of three months got extremely sick. I didn't know anything about "Healing Energies" then. Through the many years of Simone going in and out of hospitals and thirty six major operations (of which many made medical history), I was always searching for something that would lessen the pain and traumas that we were going through. On the way, I came across a few modalities that helped at the time.
|  | Through all this, Simone has come out of it with the Gift of Compassion, Love, Caring and Understanding of people and animals and is a great Healer herself!!!
I always felt that people were drawn to me so that they could "feel better". I didn't realise at the time why this was so. I have found out since that we all have "vibrations" that we emit which in turn touch others that come onto our path, whether with a touch or just the thought. Amazing, isn't it? I met two very caring, compassionate people, Chris and John, who put me on the path of healing. My intitial introduction was through the use of Crystals.
One day I went to an acupuncturist and during the course I mentioned that I needed to be brought back into balance and harmony. He then introduced me to Joy Westwood who became my mentor and friend and took me under her wing. She taught me Reiki, and through her I become a Reiki Master/Teacher, Tibetan Initiation Process, Sekham.

I have always had a belief in the ability of people to heal themselves. Western medicine has always known but perhaps not always acknowledged that often as much as 60% of healing is belief in the healer.
Working as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, I have seen many desperately sick people in hospitals. I found it very frustrating to be working at the tail end of the health system and developed a finely honed belief that prevention is better than cure.
